Q. How do I convert square feet to square yards?

A. Take your total square footage (length x width) and divide by 9

Q. If I'm taking up my old carpet in preparation for new carpet, should I remove the old tack strips?

A. Leave the tack strips in place, we will reuse them. Don't worry if some are missing or damaged our installers carry extra!

Q. Do you charge extra for carpeting steps?

A. No! However, if you do not have wood end caps on your steps and you have spindles that need to be upholstered around there will be a small upholstery fee.

Q. If I find a sample I like in your showroom can I take it home?

A. Yes! In fact we strongly encourage our customers to take samples home to view them under the lighting where they will be installed. NO DEPOSIT or FEE is required for sample check-out!

Q. Can your installers take-up my old flooring and move my furniture & appliances?

A. Absolutely! Our installers are happy to remove your old flooring and haul it away. They also take great care in moving your furniture and/or appliances out of the way during installation and then back when they are finished! Ask your salesperson for details.

Q. Con Carpet is a small business, can you compete with the 'Big Box Stores'?

A. We sure can! In fact we may even beat their prices! Con Carpet has over 40 years of experience in the flooring business, and because of our long-standing relationships with our suppliers we have access to some of the best pricing around!

Q. Do I have to seal my tile?

A. Most porcelain and ceramic tiles today are glazed and DO NOT require sealing. If you have a natural stone tile or countertops they DO require a penetrating sealer made specifically for natural stone. It's also a good idea to seal grout after it has had a chance to cure. Sealing your grout will prevent stains and keep it looking newer longer!

Q. How about financing?

A. We do offer 0% interest financing to those who qualify. Simply fill out the credit application and we'll take care of the rest! Length of financing will vary. Ask your salesperson for current financing promotions.
